Gaston doesn't really want to do this. He's just doing it because Tybolt's his bestest buddy in the world. :( He wants everyone to know that he's really a very caring individual.
edit: Actually what Tybolt is talking about there is this :D Just to refresh your memories! (it applies pretty well to him too though, doesn't it...)
